Special Thank Yous!
Friends would like to thank Lucy Spence, and her mom, Emily, and Silpada representative Tracy Mulvey for hosting a Silpada party with 30% of the sales going to our animals! Lucy has been a volunteer since she was 11 years old. Four years later she is still giving us her all! The animals all love her very much!
A big Happy 10th Birthday to Laney Goodrich! For the second year in a row, Laney's birthday wish was that her friends bring her donations for the shelter animals! Woof & Meow! Thank you so much to the Roger Williams University's Theater Department! They put on a matinee for our animals and raised over $500 in one afternoon! Their thoughtfulness and generosity are greatly appreciated!

Let's gi A Special thank you to our friends at the Little Friends Preschool who took the time to make dog biscuit treats for our four-legged friends for the holidays. All of the dogs loved them and wanted to share the recipe with all of their furry friends! Beefy Biscuits

1 C cornmeal
1/4 C wheat germ
2 tsp beef bouillon
Mix above ingredients in a medium bowl. Add
1 lg egg
1 TBL cooking oil
1 C hot water
Stir well. Roll out on a well floured surface to 1/2 inch thickness. Place on ungreased cooking sheet. Bake on center rack, (275F or 140C) for about 2 hours until dry and very hard. Let stand overnight to dry thoroughly. Makes 10 big bones and 14 puppy bones. Meet Foley
...virtually of course! Foley was our shelter guardian. He came to us several years ago. He had been badly abused, and mistrusted anyone who approached him. With time, patience, and guidance Foley had come to believe in us and trust us. In turn, he had taken to protecting the shelter, its foster residents, and human friends. Foley found a home at the shelter, and a purpose, but it was time to offer more to Foley and the homeless animals that come into our care. Therefore Friends of the Bristol Animal Shelter was formed to aid in this mission.
